Wall to Wall in Berlin
I visited Berlin during a period that most of people say no, because of its heavy winter - that is January. I was lucky enough since during my visit the sun was shinning and that made my trip much more pleasant.
The history of this city is reflected on some neighborhoods, on the faces of old people. The streets of Mitte and Potsdammer platz are still on my mind. A day at the Museum island is never enough and the Neues Museum as well as the spectacular Pergammon Museum, are some that should not be missed. Walk along a small part of the historical Berlin Wall and visit Alexanderplatz with its TV tower. Last but not least, walk by the famous Unter den Linden street and visit the famous Brandenburg Gate.
The home of the German Parliament, the Reichstag, has an amazing panoramic city view from its roof, which is entirely in glass structure. And after all this visit, don't miss to taste Berlin's famous currywurst. Don't forget to explore the Jewish history and visit the Holocaust Memorial.
Before leaving this city, taste its local cuisine, drink as many beers as you can, and for those who want some art a must is the Contemporary Fine Arts Institution as well as the Galerie Eigen + Art /Lab.
